Burford

Burford is a gorgeous market town in the Cotswolds and home to over 250 Grade listed buildings. The historic centre of Burford is small and easy to explore on foot even for very casual walkers. This is the perfect spot for a quiet stroll around a town, a potter in and out of shops, and a look at the 16th Century Tolsey Building.

St. Albans

St. Albans is a gorgeous city set not far from London and easily accessible by both train and car. There are numerous historic sights to take in across the town centre, from the Cathedral and the Abbey Gate to the Roman Walls and the period houses of St. Michael’s Village. St. Albans is big enough to spend a few hours walking around, with plenty of things to see and do along the way.

Corbridge

Corbridge is a small village in Northumberland, 16 miles to the west of Newcastle. Corbridge offers sights of scenes that cover almost every period of history from the Romans to the present. Check out the ruins of an old Roman fort and town and visit a church with a history dating back to the 7th Century, before enjoying a wander down the high street to see some of the village’s gorgeous listed buildings from later centuries.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town in the West Midlands, known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. Take a walk around Stratford to enjoy a tour that includes points of interest for fans of English literature and history alike, before checking out some of the other attractions of this fantastic town.

Alnwick

Perhaps best known for its castle, where part of the Harry Potter film franchise was filmed, Alnwick is a beautiful village on the Northumberland coast. Alnwick Castle has been the seat of the Percy family for 700 years, set aside a beautiful flowing river surrounded by some of the most picturesque views that Northumberland offers.
